*BLOG TOUR* If the Ring Fits by Camilla Isley

Today it is my pleasure to help kick off the blog tour for If the Ring Fits by Camilla Isley.

When Life Gives You Lemons, Fake an Engagement
When investment banker Adrian and software engineer Rowena started the day, they didn’t expect to end it engaged! But Adrian has invented a fake fiancée to impress his CEO, regretting the lie almost immediately, and now he is in hot water. Meanwhile, Rowena’s career has just gone up in flames, leaving her unemployed, unexpectedly expecting with no father in the picture, and short of options. When fate throws these two hot messes into a meet-cute of epic proportions, it’s a match made in rock-bottom heaven. They say love is blind, and with nothing to lose, Adrian gets down on one knee… and Rowena says yes!
The rules of engagement are simple:
Pretend to be madly in love
Keep their real lives separate
Absolutely, positively do NOT catch feelings
However, faking it is harder than they thought, especially when every overnight stay comes with only one bed and zero personal space—blurring that imaginary line between ‘just business’ and ‘definitely personal.’
Soon, their carefully constructed charade starts to feel alarmingly… real. Can Adrian and Rowena stick to their engagement pact, or will their fake relationship graduate to something authentically messy, complicated, and wonderful?
Find out in this hilarious, heartwarming tale of two strangers who said “I do” before they even said “Hello.” Because sometimes, the worst day of your life just might lead to the best mistake you’ll ever make.
If the Ring Fits is an age gap, marriage of convenience rom-com with a multi-millionaire MMC and a STEM FMC perfect for fans of Lynn Painter, Sarah Adams and Fallon Ballard**

I am always excited to find out that Camilla Isley has a new release on the way, and I am pleased to confirm that her latest offering, If the Ring Fits, does not disappoint. We have a strangers-to-lovers/marriage of convenience rom-com on our hands which features an incredibly handsome millionaire in need of a wife, and a beautiful, intelligent woman in need of a bit of stability as her circumstances change.

Rowena is a down-on-her-luck Software Engineer. When she meets Adrian she is newly pregnant, and newly unemployed. She knows she will be unable to afford to stay in the city that she loves with a new baby even if she is able to find a new job whilst pregnant, and so their meet cute finds her sick and upset in a toilet stall.

Adrian is an incredibly successful investment banker, who is seeking to take over as CEO when his boss announces he will be retiring. However all his hardwork has meant that he has had little time for a personal life, something that has not gone unnoticed by the outgoing CEO. What follows is a declaration that he has a fiancee with very little time to actually find one! When he finds himself faced with Rowena, beautiful but pregnant and alone, he may have just found the answer to both of their problems.

This novel includes a lot of tropes that you would expect and want to find in a rom-com. But what I particularly loved about this novel, (and all of Camilla Isley’s novels) is that it’s never about a strong hero saving a damsel in distress. Rowena is a strong, independent woman with a career who would have figured it all out without Adrian’s help. If anything, Adrian is the one that needed saving. He may had all the money and career success, but he couldn’t climb that final rung of the ladder without someone by his side, showing him what it’s all for. He needed Rowena in order to share and enjoy his successes, as well as to show him that there is more to life outside of work if he is just willing to look.

Adrian and Rowena’s romance in this novel is inevitable, but I really enjoyed following their story as they each tried to improve the others life, whilst applauding and supporting their individual needs to succeed. Whether that be at work, in their personal relationships, or finally as parents. They start as strangers, but they build a strong team filled with love, support and compassion. Of course there is some doubt and a downward spiral thrown in for good measure, but who said the path to love was easy?!

If the Ring Fits is a fabulous, light hearted novel that is perfect for a cosy weekend spent inside hiding from the storms. So get the fire roaring, grab a chilled glass of wine and curl up with this novel. It is the perfect way to spend your weekend!

Rating: 4 out of 5.

*BLOG TOUR* This is Not a Holiday Romance by Camilla Isley

Today I am very happy to help kick off the fabulous blog tour for Camilla Isley’s latest novel, This is Not a Holiday Romance.

Two sworn enemies, snowed in over Christmas with chemistry that will melt the ice!

Nina Thompson has one Christmas wish: to avoid her brother’s obnoxiously handsome best friend, Tristan, like the plague. From the moment he humiliated her as a teenager to their escalating revenge schemes, Nina and Tristan’s relationship can only be defined as an all-out prank war! And there is yet to be a winner.

But it just so happens the ghost of Christmas present has other ideas. When Tristan unexpectedly crashes her family’s Christmas, Nina’s dreams of a peaceful holiday vanish faster than Santa up a chimney. Determined to end their rivalry for good, she braces herself for one last prank-filled showdown.

But when they find themselves snowed in, with no way of avoiding each other amongst the holiday festivities, they discover their heated exchanges have been masking a different kind of sizzle. Caught in a snow globe of holiday romance, they decide to let their fiery chemistry burn bright—but this is absolutely and unequivocally nothing more than a secret fling destined to melt with the snow, this is not a forever romance…

Firstly I have to apologise…I appreciate that it is only the beginning of September and here I am talking about festive novels! But back to school is in full swing, which means Christmas is coming! Sorry – I am one of those people that starts counting down to Christmas as summer comes to an end!

This is Not a Holiday Romance is a great way to kick off the festive novel season! Camilla Isley really knows how to write an enemies to lovers book, and she proves it yet again with her latest novel.

Nina Thompson despises her brothers best friend. He humiliated her once, many years ago, and since then they have spent every opportunity pulling pranks on one another and generally going for revenge!

Tristan finds himself spending Christmas with his best friend Dylan’s family…and his sister Nina. They have had a long running feud although he’s a little unsure how it really started. What he does know is that she gets under his skin like no one else could. But she’s his best friends sister, and he owes Dylan a lot – some lines should not be crossed.

This is such a great, light hearted Christmas based enemies to lovers novel. If you are ready to immerse yourself in some relationship pettiness, some fiery moments between two people who are clearly hot for each other, and the inevitable falling in love then this novel is for you. Throw in some festive spirit and you’ve got yourself a great first read of the Christmas season! So if you can’t wait any longer, and like me, you have decided that the build up to Christmas starts now, then go grab yourself a copy of this novel! It is literally out today!

Rating: 4 out of 5.

*BLOG TOUR* It Started With a Book by Camilla Isley

Today it is my pleasure to help kick off the blog tour for It Started With a Book by Camilla Isley.

Lose yourself in Lakeville Hills in this gorgeous new romance from bestselling author Camilla Isley…

When she’s ghosted by yet another Tinder match, Leighton swears off dating for life. Who needs apps and blind dates when she has the perfect-in-every-way (apart from being fictional) heroes of her beloved romance novels?

That night Leigh finds a second-hand book on her TBR pile, which transports her to the small-town of Lakeville Hills, where the heroines wear shorty-shorts and the men drink bourbon. And as Leigh drifts off to sleep, she dreams of billionaire cowboy Killian St Clair, who could win a gold medal for smouldering and bicep flexing.

For a while, Leigh finds it easier to stomach misogynistic supervisors, newly coupled friends, and extravagant bridesmaid duties knowing she can return to Lakeville Hills each evening. Until one day, she wakes up to find she’s brought a bit of Lakeville Hills back with her: the impossible sexy and entirely implausible Killian St Clair is in her apartment.

Now Leigh must help Killian navigate the real world. But as she gets to know the man behind the trope, can she keep her heart safe, or does she risk falling in love with her book boyfriend in real life?

I think we can safely say that I love Camilla Isley’s novels and so I am always keen to get my hands on a copy of her latest offering at the earliest opportunity, and it was no exception with It Started With a Book! I think we can all look back on a time when we’ve read a book, and the leading man is just so perfect that we wish he was real – well Camilla Isley agreed and has brought us the story we never knew we needed!

Leighton is embroiled in the often tedious world of online dating – after yet another disastrous match, she decides to go it alone, swearing off dating even though she is surrounded by friends in love. When she comes across a second-hand book on her bookshelf that she’s sure she didn’t buy, she decides to immerse herself in the fictional world of Lakeville Hills. With Lakeville Hills and the very sexy, very wealthy cowboy Killian St Clair dominating her dreams, the escapism she experiences makes her real life just a little more bearable. Until she finds her dreams becoming a reality!

With Killian St Clair now inexplicably very much a part of her real world, Leighton finds herself falling for a man who just cannot be real – can he?!

This is a novel that is very much relatable to those bookworms amongst us that have spent our evenings dreaming about the men we meet in the fictional worlds created for us by some amazing authors. How often have we wanted to open our eyes and find him there, right in front of us, exactly as we had imagined? Well Camilla Isley has shown us how that would play out if it really happened! It’s not without its trials and tribulations, along with some practical issues surrounding a man just appearing out of nowhere, but I loved following Leighton’s uncertainty about whether he was real or if he would stay, and the acceptance that maybe this fictional man could be the man for her.

This is a lovely novel full of great characters. It is pure escapism, and sometimes that is exactly what we need. So I am very happy to recommend this to you, on this very wet, less than summery day! The weekend is almost upon us, so grab a copy of this book, a glass of wine and immerse yourself in a story that we all sometimes wish would come true!

Rating: 4 out of 5.

*BLOG TOUR* The Love Algorithm by Camilla Isley

Welcome to day three of the blog tour for the fabulous Camilla Isley’s new novel The Love Algorithm!

At 28, with a Ph.D under her belt and a meteoric rise to head of Research and Development at Mercer Robotics, Reese feels her decision to put her career first has worked out pretty well for her. Sure, she doesn’t have many personal relationships to speak of, but she does love her team and they like her too.
So when she’s called to the Big Boss’s office and told she will be looking after his son while he does a rotation in her lab, she’s not thrilled that her hard work and achievements have boiled down to being a glorified babysitter – especially to a billionaire playboy with zero experience of mechanical engineering.

But then tall, blond Thomas walks into her office, and Reese realizes this assignment is going to be even harder than she thought. Because the CEO’s son is not only extraordinarily gorgeous, chiseled, and charming… he’s also on course to become her new boss one day, and so extraordinarily out of bounds. As the pair get to know each other, can Reese hold her nerve and her beliefs, or will she fall victim to the billionaire charm?

A gorgeously funny enemies-to-lovers, work-place rom com, perfect for fans of Sarah Adams, Lynn Painter and Jo Watson.

I’m on a bit of a run with Camilla Isley at the moment, and for good reason! She really knows how to write an enemies to lovers rom com!

Reese has worked hard to get to where she is, particularly given the fact that she is working in a male dominated industry. She loves her job and she loves the people she works with, so finding out that she is going to have to babysit the CEOs son, a billionaire playboy with zero experience in her field feels more than a little demeaning.

Thomas, the CEO’s billionaire playboy son is surprised to discover that he is expected to shadow the leads for each department in the company, as part of his progression towards taking over his father’s company. When he walks in on Reese getting changed in her office, he finds himself immediately attracted to a woman who he will eventually be expected to manage. Naturally, he is incredibly attractive, smart, and charming. He is exactly the kind of distraction that Reese does not need – she doesn’t want anything that could jeopardise her career.

This is the ideal enemies to lovers rom com. We have a beautiful, smart, career driven women and a handsome, charming man with bundles of sexual tension. They have such a great will they/won’t they relationship, and I love how the story places so much importance on Reese and her career – whilst there are some waves created by their relationship (lab security cameras cause a few issues!) I like how much emphasis is placed on the need to ensure that Reese should not have to compromise in her personal or professional life. Women in male orientated industries have to work so much harder in order to be taken seriously, and this novel acknowledges that fact whilst giving us a hot and heavy relationship!

This is yet another great offering from Camilla Isley, and I am more than happy to recommend it to you all. On a rainy Sunday afternoon such as this, it is the perfect novel to curl up with under a blanket with a cheeky glass of wine whilst your roast is cooking!

*BLOG TOUR* It’s Complicated by Camilla Isley

Today it is my pleasure to bring you my review of It’s Complicated by Camilla Isley as part of her fabulous blog tour!

Lori has been in love with her best friend Aiden since college. Now Aiden (handsome, fair, All-American dream doctor) is getting married, and Lori desperately needs a date to the wedding.

So she asks the best man, Jace (tall, dark, and brooding), to pretend their platonic friendship is something more not to have to face the worst day of her life alone.

Fake dating one best friend to forget the other should be easy… Plot twist—it’s not. When Jace starts acting like the sweetest, most attentive boyfriend, Lori begins to wonder if she’s been seeing him wrong all this time?

They’ve been an inseparable trio since freshman year, but now everything is changing — and that’s not even bringing Jace’s feelings into the mix.

Basically? It’s complicated.

As I have already previously mentioned, Camilla Isley is fast becoming my favourite enemies to lovers rom-com author! Whilst It’s Complicated is not technically an enemies to lovers novel, it does involve some complicated, long term relationships, unrequited love and some good old fashioned fake dating thrown into the mix so I had no complaints when I picked it up.

Lori has two best friends, Aiden and Jace. When Aiden announces that he is getting married, Lori is naturally devastated, having been in love with him since the moment she met him. Jace has always been her shoulder to cry on, and now is no different. Except this time round, she realises that time is running out for her and Aiden, so she does the only sensible thing she can think of; fake date Jace to make Aiden jealous, or at the very least not have to face the stark reality of Aiden’s impending marriage alone!

There are no surprises here, but that is not why I picked up this novel. I grabbed it and devoured it because it’s full of love and friendship, misunderstandings and handsome men! The characters in this novel are well rounded and likeable – there are moments of frustration with Lori, but as we all know, love can blind you to everything else around you!

Camilla Isley is fast becoming my go-to author when I want a lovely novel that’s easy to read with engaging characters and a great plot! It’s Complicated is a lovely easy read – perfect for a lazy Sunday. So grab yourself your favourite chocolate and large glass of wine, and get stuck in! It’s Complicated might even be one of Camilla Isley’s best novels yet!

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

*BLOG TOUR* Baby, One More Time by Camilla Isley

Blog Tour number 2 on this bumper day takes us to Camilla Isley’s Baby, One More Time!

Driven and smart, Marissa Mayer has worked her way to COO at a major Fintech startup as well as launching her own successful app on the side. Now what she wants more than anything is a baby. And having given up on love after her heart was broken by the boy next door, she’s prepared to do it alone.

Recently returning to New York from LA, Dr John Raikes is an expert in his field of neonatal medicine. But when John introduces himself as Marissa’s doctor, sparks fly, and not in a good way. Because Dr John Raikes is no stranger: he’s her teenage sweetheart all grown up.

Marissa knows she should keep John at arm’s length, lest she have her heart broken again… But there’s something about a man in a white coat. And with John determined to show Marissa he’s changed, can she keep saying no when her heart is saying yes?

A gorgeously funny enemies-to-lovers, second-chance rom com, perfect for fans of Sarah Adams, Lynn Painter and Jo Watson.

Camilla Isley is fast becoming my favourite ‘enemies-to-lovers’ rom com writer! I am pleased to confirm that Baby, One More Time does not disappoint!

Marissa Mayer is a hard working, successful career woman – you could say that she has it all. Except that she doesn’t – yet. After having her heart broken by the boy next door she has little interest in being in relationship and falling in love, but she want a family of her own, and she is more than happy to tread that path alone.

Dr John Raikes is back in New York after years of living in LA. With a divorce behind him, and a young daughter in tow, he is ready to rebuild his life. What he doesn’t expect is to bump into the girl next door who he abandoned all those years ago. He certainly doesn’t expect to bump into her at work, and find her planning her future family.

This is a classic enemies-to-lovers novel. Marissa of course wants nothing to do with John after he broke her heart so badly. She has become such an independent woman, and incredibly successful in her career but she keeps her heart locked away so as never to hurt again as she did when John left her. Seeing him again brings back all the pain that she thought she had dismissed from her life. John however feels guilty for his treatment of Marissa and is keen to seek her forgiveness. Finding themselves thrown together in the most unexpected of ways, can they move beyond what happened to them in the past?

Marissa is such a great female character – the pain she feels after what John did to her is explicit, but her subsequent success is a positive force to read about. Whilst she has been keen to avoid relationships, it’s good to read about a female character who has used that pain to create a successful life for herself. She hasn’t spending the years moping, and for that I’m glad!

I am more than happy to recommend this novel to you – in fact I think you should grab a copy of this along with a couple from Camilla Isley’s back catalogue to see how an enemies-to-lovers novel should be written! So tuck yourself away, grab a glass of wine and lose yourself in Baby, One More Time!

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

*BLOG TOUR* Not in a Billion Years by Camilla Isley

Today it is my pleasure to help kick off the fabulous blog tour for Camilla Isley’s latest novel, Not in a Billion Years.

Bestselling Camilla Isley returns with this gorgeously funny enemies-to-lovers rom com, perfect for fans of Sarah Adams, Lynn Painter and Jo Watson.

She’s a self-made fitness sensation. He’s a billionaire mogul. They’re sworn enemies and rivals… aren’t they?

Blake Avery knows all about hard work. She’s gone from making videos in her teenage bedroom to founding a booming fitness business and opening a state-of-the-art Manhattan gym. Now she’s on the cusp of realizing her wildest dreams, and she’s not going to let anyone stand in her way.

Certainly not man-of-the-hour Gabriel Mercer. He might be one of the biggest names in the fitness world and set women’s pulses soaring more than a grueling HIIT workout, but he grew up in a billionaire dynasty and had everything handed to him – or so Blake thinks.

But when Blake publicly criticizes Gabriel, she sparks a feud that neither entrepreneur is willing to back down from. And in an industry that seems determined to keep pushing them together, can Blake hold on to her grudge? Or will she finally warm up to Gabriel’s charm?

I am always very happy to discover that Camilla Isley is releasing a new novel – they are always full of heart, with a great ‘will they won’t they’ storyline and some serious romance. I am pleased to confirm that Not in a Billion Years does not disappoint!

Blake Avery is a self made woman. She has been creating her own brand since the tender age of 16, and finally she has made it, with the bricks and mortar (also known as a state-of-the-art gym!) to prove it. She has no intention of letting some billionaire in the fitness world who has been handed everything on a plate hold her back or stop her progress. When she publicly criticises said billionaire, she inadvertently finds herself starting a feud!

Gabriel Mercer is the hot shot billionaire in question. Devastatingly handsome and wildly successful, he is very upset to find out that the owner of a new fitness centre has called him out for being handed his success on a plate by his wealthy family. He can’t help himself as he finds himself marching down to this new fitness centre to have it out with the unknown Blake Avery in person. Imagine his surprise when he find out she’s a very attractive young woman!

Blake and Gabriel are both great characters, and perfect for a ‘will they won’t they’ novel. They are attractive and successful in their own right which I find makes for a great story. Blake is self assured, and confident in her own abilities, as well as the brand that she has created from nothing in her teenage bedroom. Her success is all her own, and she certainly did not need a man to get her to where she is. Obviously she has some past relationship trauma (who doesn’t!) but everything she has, she created herself. Throw in the very attractive, intelligent Gabriel, and you have two characters that you can’t help but root for!

I am more than happy to recommend this to you all – it’s a fab novel, and perfect for these warm September days. So grab yourself a glass of wine, and cosy up with these novels whilst enjoying this later summer sunshine!

Rating: 4 out of 5.

*BLOG TOUR* Sweet Love and Country Roads by Camilla Isley

Sweet Love and Country Roads

Falling for the wrong cowboy never felt so good . . .

Samantha Baker is a high-flying movie producer living in New York City. She loves her shoes, drinking cosmopolitans, and wouldn’t trade the comforts of city life for anything in the world. But when her job is put on the line, Samantha has no other choice than to move to the middle of nowhere to straighten out the filming of her latest romantic comedy blockbuster.

Her new country home has no Starbucks, no Pilates, and the one pub in town has never heard of appletinis—only serves beer and whiskey neat. On the plus side, the views are scenic. And not just for the aerial shots, as the local eye-candy provides a welcome distraction.

At least until Samantha discovers a native cowboy, Travis Hunt, is the source of all her troubles…

And the battle begins.

Each has something the other wants, but as Samantha and Travis go head to head, they might discover the endgame has changed. When hate turns to heat, all becomes fair in love and war for these two sworn enemies who’ve been playing a game of hearts.

But will a roll in the hay be enough to make Samantha decide there’s no sex in the city and convert to country living?

Today it is my pleasure to bring you my review of Sweet Love and Country Roads by Camilla Isley on the penultimate day of her fabulous blog tour!

I was excited to grab myself a copy of Camilla Isley’s latest offering, Sweet Love and Country Roads, and I am pleased to confirm that I was not left disappointed!

Samantha is a career driven, city loving, movie producer who finds herself heading out to the middle of nowhere when her current movie finds itself stalling, facing lengthy and costly delays. With a stubborn small town mayor to contend with, Samantha finds herself stuck exactly where she doesn’t want to be.

Travis Hunt is a small town cowboy born and bred. Handsome and caring, both about his family and his hometown, he’s difficult to ignore. Looks however can be deceiving, and there is more to this small town cowboy than meets the eye. When Travis and Samantha meet sparks fly – keeping it professional could prove to be difficult, but with Samantha counting down to her big city return, could anything really happen between them?

I love small town romances, and Sweet Love and Country Roads is no exception to this. Camilla Isley knows how to write a good romance, she builds up the tension beautifully – falling in love is never easy and she really highlights both the good and the bad. I really enjoyed the small town setting, the movie set backdrop and of course, the very attractive leading man, Travis.

I am more than happy to recommend Sweet Love and Country Roads to you if like me, you love a good will they/won’t they romance set in small town America. You won’t be disappointed!

Rating: 4 out of 5.

*BLOG TOUR* Home for Christmas by Camilla Isley

It is my pleasure to bring you my review of Home for Christmas by Camilla Isley, helping to kick off her fabulous blog tour!

Firstly let me just say – do not be put off reading this review of a novel with Christmas in the title. I know it’s February and Christmas is but a distant memory but this novel is too good for you to be scrolling past this review!

Would you share a bed with your enemy to save Christmas?

Down with a bad case of writer’s block, Riven has escaped to a mountain cabin for a prolonged writing retreat. The last thing he needs this Christmas is for his family to invade his sanctuary away from LA. What he needs even less is for a family of strangers as large and boisterous as his own to also be stuck in the same house after a double-booking disaster.

Especially when he ends up having to share a bunk bed with Wendy—a gorgeous, feisty New Yorker who quickly learns how to get under his skin.

Sharing a room with her is sweet torture and Riven isn’t even sure what he dreads more: that every passing day brings them closer to saying goodbye or that they have yet another night to spend together…

Riven is a famous author who is hiding out in a mountain cabin trying to overcome a severe case of writers block, whilst also trying to escape from his painful divorce. What he can’t escape though is his family, who insist upon him spending Christmas with them!

Wendy is a successful New York playwright, who is looking for a Christmas getaway with her family following the loss of her father. They need a new way to celebrate Christmas, and a snowy mountain retreat seems just the ticket! When a monumental mix up finds Wendy and Riven’s families sharing the mountain cabin for the holidays, of course only chaos can ensue!

This is a clear enemies to lovers romance novel – there is nothing unexpected. But that is exactly what I was looking for with this novel. Romantic comedies are supposed to be fun and light-hearted, and Home for Christmas definitely ticks all the boxes. The family dynamics were great within this novel, but the shining stars were Wendy and Riven. Both were excellent leading characters, well rounded and likeable. The tension between them was palpable, and it was so nice to follow two characters who weren’t intent on sabotaging each other. They really encouraged each other professionally, even when their working styles were so very different. There was no rivalry or jealousy – they were just really supportive of one another. Of course there was some high jinx along the way, but that just added to the fun! I can’t say I’d have been quite so forgiving as Wendy though after the ‘pink’ incident!

Home for Christmas is a standalone novel and should be read as such, but it also forms part of Camilla Isley Christmas Romantic Comedy series. If the other two novels in this series are half as good as this one I shall be grabbing myself copies!

Now for my star rating. If you have followed my reviews for a while you will know that I very rarely give out 5 stars. However, the stars clearly aligned when I picked up this book. This is the best romantic comedy novel I’ve read in a long time. It ticked all the boxes for me – great characters, light hearted fun, and a believable romance. I loved it! So I am more than happy to recommend this novel to you all. As today is publication day you have no excuse not to go out and grab yourself a copy immediately!

Rating: 5 out of 5.

*BLOG TOUR* You May Kiss The Bridesmaid by Camilla Isley

Today it is my pleasure to bring you my review of You May Kiss The Bridesmaid by Camilla Isley.

Archibald Hill is handsome, single, and he’s going to his best friend’s wedding ready to make a conquest or two. After all, everyone knows weddings are the perfect setting to get lucky.

Summer Knowles used to have a life—friends, family, a sister who’d do anything for her—until she blew it all away with a terrible mistake. Now, attending her twin’s wedding as the party’s undesirable number one seems like more than she can handle. So, when a tall stranger with smoldering ice-blue eyes offers her a therapy of seven nights of no-strings-attached fun, she might even ignore that he has a beard and accept.

Problem is, Summer has never been good at keeping sex and feelings separated…

So I was lucky enough to read From Thailand with Love earlier this year, and was excited when I discovered that You May Kiss The Bridesmaid was due to be released as the next in the series. As you know, I love a series where we get to revisit characters, but I also love learning more about characters we have only briefly met. In You May Kiss The Bridesmaid we get to finally meet Summer Knowles, twin sister of Winter. We already know that Winter and Summers relationship has been fragile, so she is the perfect character for us to learn more about. We met Archibald Hill back in Thailand – he’s loveable and clearly a great friend to Logan but he has a reputation for being a womaniser.

Summer Winter is dreading her sisters wedding. After she made the monumental mistake of having an affair with her best friends boyfriend, she tore apart her friendship group and her twin sister stopped talking to her. Now both Winter and Lana, her best friend, have forgiven her but it doesn’t mean the rest of her friends are quite so forgiving. She hasn’t seen any of them since the affair, and she doesn’t want to see them now. She has lived with the shame of what she did, and she has now sworn off men. She’ll do whatever it takes to get through Winter’s wedding.

Archie is looking forward to his best man duties at Logan’s wedding. He loves Winter, and thinks they are a great match. Plus he knows there are always single ladies at a wedding! What he doesn’t expect is to meet Summer – she might look like Winter but they couldn’t be more different. It’s a good job they are both only looking for some fun until the wedding is over…

I really enjoyed From Thailand With Love, and I am more than happy to say the same about You May Kiss The Bridesmaid. It is a light, easy read full of romance with a little bit of drama thrown in for good measure. Whilst Summer might have previously cheated, it is clear she is both embarrassed and mortified by her previous behaviour, so it was good to watch a character behave in such a grown-up way, putting her sisters feeling before her own by attending the wedding. Archie is already a character that I loved, so it was great to spend some time following him specifically.

All in all this a great book, and I am more that happy to recommend it to you. If you’re lucky enough to be getting away this year then it’ll be a fab beach read, but if like me its all about the staycation for you, then this will be a great book to read with a glass of wine whilst sunning yourself in your garden!

Rating: 4 out of 5.
